RISE and EAPO Partnership

How to Make a Referral

Follow the steps below to learn how to make a referral:

Goal: We are striving to create a community-based system of response for elder mistreatment in partnership with EAPO.

Process: First, make a referral to EAPO who will undertake intake/screening. Then, EAPO will send eligible cases to RISE for direct response intervention work.

Note: Referrals can be made by older adults themselves, or by family members and service providers who are concerned about an older adult. This RISE/EAPO response system is being tested using a randomized control trial design to understand what works; cases are assigned either to RISE or a case consultation session with referrals.
